Engineering Intern (Summer 2023)
Job description
As an Engineering Intern at Carica, you’ll have the chance to help shape the future and deliver a battery-free alternative for powering wearable electronics. You will work on researching and designing novel micro-supercapacitors and energy harvesters for battery-free power supplies.
Responsibilities
- Simulate electrochemical behavior of supercapacitors for different materials and designs
- Research form factors for energy harvester
- Help design next generation battery-free power supply prototype
Qualifications
- Student in chemical engineering, material science or equivalent
- Experience with different polymer processing approaches
- Understanding of electrochemical characterization of polymer electrolytes (i.e.: Cyclic Voltammetry, ionic conductivity in solution and solid-state)
- Experience with mathematical modeling of electrochemical and mechanical systems
- Experience with SoildWorks or AutoCAD
- Course work in electrochemical energy systems and electronic properties of materials is a plus
- Desire to be in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment

- 100% Remote
Working Hours
- 32-40 hours/week
- Start/end dates are flexible within May-September
