R&D Engineer

Job description

As an R&D Engineer at Carica, you’ll have the chance to help shape the future and deliver a battery-free alternative for powering wearable electronics. You will focus on further developing the existing prototypes for wearable electronic applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities for new and existing prototypes
• Support design and prototyping to scale up
• Design and test energy harvesters and supercapacitors
• Form factor/chassis prototyping
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers

Qualifications

• BS or MS in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or similar
• Experience with different polymer processing approaches
• Understanding of electrochemical characterization of polymer electrolytes (i.e.: Cyclic Voltammetry, ionic conductivity in solution and solid-state) is a plus
• Experience with mathematical modeling of electrochemical and mechanical systems
• Experience with COMSOL and MATLAB
• Proficient in AutoCAD or SoildWorks
• Experience or desire to be in a dynamic startup environment
