Power Supply Design Engineer

Job description

As a Power Supply Design Engineer at Carica, you’ll have the chance to help shape the future and deliver a battery-free alternative for powering wearable electronics. You will work on prototyping the power supply unit. Further develop the energy harvester and micro-supercapacitors. And help design and develop the form factor/chassis for the device.

Responsibilities

• Product design from prototyping to scale up
• Evaluation of energy harvesters and supercapacitors
• Form factor prototyping
• Ability to create and check design specifications

Qualifications

• MS or Ph.D. in chemical engineering, material science or similar
• Experience with different polymer processing approaches
• Excellent understanding of electrochemical characterization of polymer electrolytes (i.e.: Cyclic Voltammetry, ionic conductivity in solution and solid-state)
• Experience with mathematical modeling of electrochemical and mechanical systems
• Proficiency in LTSpice, LabVIEW, MATLAB
• Experience with AutoCAD or SoildWorks
• Experience with characterization techniques such as SEM and TEM
• Experience or desire to be in a dynamic startup environment
