Power Supply Design Engineer
Job description
As a Power Supply Design Engineer at Carica, you’ll have the chance to help shape the future and deliver a battery-free alternative for powering wearable electronics. You will work on prototyping the power supply unit. Further develop the energy harvester and micro-supercapacitors. And help design and develop the form factor/chassis for the device.
Responsibilities
- Product design from prototyping to scale up
- Evaluation of energy harvesters and supercapacitors
- Form factor prototyping
- Ability to create and check design specifications
Qualifications
- MS or Ph.D. in chemical engineering, material science or similar
- Experience with different polymer processing approaches
- Excellent understanding of electrochemical characterization of polymer electrolytes (i.e.: Cyclic Voltammetry, ionic conductivity in solution and solid-state)
- Experience with mathematical modeling of electrochemical and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in LTSpice, LabVIEW, MATLAB
- Experience with AutoCAD or SoildWorks
- Experience with characterization techniques such as SEM and TEM
- Experience or desire to be in a dynamic startup environment
