Principal Electrical Engineer
Job description
As the Principal Electrical Engineer at Carica, you’ll have the chance to help shape the future and deliver a battery-free alternative for powering wearable electronics. You will focus on circuit design and testing for the power supply unit, sensors and microcontroller.
Responsibilities
- Lead circuit design and build activities to completion on time and budget
- Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
- Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
- Document component and subsystem specifications and material requirements
- Specify and evaluate suppliers for components, subsystems and services
- Provide technical expertise and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
- Debug prototype units
- Create manufacturing test specifications
- Design/select AC-DC circuit to optimize performance of device
- Develop and maintain bill of materials
- Collaborate with software team
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering
- CCA Design (7 years required)
- Low voltage power supply design (5 years required)
- AC-DC circuit design
- Experience with pulsed power systems and switch mode power supplies
- Experience with prototyping from concept to design to manufacturing
- Experience with analog and digital circuits, power systems, microcontrollers and sensors
- Wearable electronics experience
- Experience or desire to be in a dynamic startup environment
